Physics is basis of all sciences. It is one of the most fundamental sciences of all. You must have the basic understanding of the principles of Physics to understand other sciences. Don't worry, you don't have to understand everything, if you are learning other fields, basics will suffice, but you have to understand the basics right. Common sense is too dangerous!

The Rutherford's famous quote tells everything

"All science is either Physics or stamp collecting."

It means the only real science is Physics. Physics is the explanation of all wonders in the world, however there are a lot of unexplained things or mysteries which still need to be explained.

We have to keep searching, and discover new wonders. You may find it exciting, surprising, frustrating and at the same time amusing as you advance in the course.

Understanding Physics is the same thing as understanding every modern tools and technologies we use today. You never feel them strange! And, you'll know how it works.

For example, understanding the electromagnetic waves and Maxwell's equations lead you to understand all the wireless technologies, understanding the laws of thermodynamics allow you to understand how engines are working.

After you get the solid understanding of the initial topics in Physics, your confidence will increase to the highest level and you'll be able to develop new tools and techniques in Physics.

You have to know what you are doing first. What's your goal in Physics? What are you trying to achieve? All these questions allow you to understand what to do next.
